Quetzalcoatl rules winds, the sky, the breath of life, vegetation, civilization, priesthood, the calendar, and Venus as the Morning Star. His titles include First Lord, Nine Wind, The Feathered Serpent, The Lawgiver, White Tezcatlipoca, and The Precious Twin. He is also called Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli. In his aspect as Ehecatl or Ehecatl-Quetzalcoatl, he is a god of winds whose cardinal point is West.
Serpents and butterflies are the sacred animals of Quetzalcoatl. September 20 and November 21 are his feast days. Invoke Quetzalcoatl for wisdom, spirituality, creation, law, civilization, illumination, fertility, learning, science, the arts, air magic, and wind spells. He can also be invoked for resisting the dark side, and striving for perfection.
Quetzalcoatl may be honored by building him a step-pyramid with six tiers.
